Privacy

Letter Rain is a browser-based word puzzle with no accounts and no server. This page explains what the game does with your data.

What is stored

Your game results are saved locally in your browser using two keys:

  • lr_today Your current day's session — words played and round scores. Replaced each day.
  • lr_history A running record of past games — dates, words, scores — used to power the Stats screen.

This data never leaves your device. We have no server-side database and cannot see your results.

How to delete it

On iPhone: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → letterrain.uk. On desktop: DevTools → Application → Local Storage, then delete the two keys above. Clearing your browser's site data for letterrain.uk has the same effect.

Google Fonts

The game loads two typefaces from Google's font servers. This causes your browser to contact Google, which may log your IP address. Google's own privacy policy governs that data. Blocking fonts.googleapis.com at the network level has no effect on gameplay.

Sharing

The Share Game button produces a plain-text summary of your result and passes it to your device's native share sheet or clipboard. Once it leaves the browser we have no visibility into where it goes.
